I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. How to disable troop labels during battle?

You know those circle stuff right above the heads of the troops you command, even your companions, during battle. How do i disable those? Do you guys play without those and what is your opinion with it? Is it worth disabling or just leave it enabled?
