Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

Death at childbirth for the player character?

So I have noticed that female NPCs can die while giving birth. I play a female character who is about 37 YO and about to give birth for the 5th time (hope I get twins this time lol), so I am curious: Did anyone ever have their female main character die during childbirth? Does anyone know if death at childbirth chances rise as the character (NPC or not) ages? submitted by /u/HelenaCFH [link] [comments]

Getting to play for the first time since I bought it on release of Early Access. Just fought in a siege.

HOLY SMOKES THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! Absolute chaos, units going where they needed to be, and the noise, the smoke, the fear of getting clobbered by some flying rocks! Absolutely incredible! Yes, there are bugs, the loading screens are rather long, but they are tolerable for the sheer thrill of the massive battles and sieges! submitted by /u/Volcarion [link] [comments]

Bannerlord on Laptop??

Since the Xbox /console version of Bannerlord lord will take a lifetime to be released, I do have steam on my Acer laptop with windows 10. I know most of the people here are PC gamers, I can’t wait anymore,so do y’all think my laptop can support the game or do I have to continue playing Warband and watch Jeremus get knocked unconscious every 3 minutes? submitted by /u/TheNamesJaykob [link] [comments]

Any way to increase caravan party size?

So I’m around 2 years into the game (I think not really sure) and whenever I set up a caravan it gets taken down in less than 2 weeks, sometimes even less than a single week. Is there a way to increase the caravan sizes? Because seeing other nobles owning caravans with 50 troops that rarely get attacked seems kind of unfair compared to the shitty 30 man caravan Submitted April 30, 2021 at 11:43PM by AmJayAy https://ift.tt/3aUvym7

Abyssmal performance for bannerlord

Bannerlord seems to run really bad for me, especially on the campaign map. my screen randomly drops to 1 fps, in the inventory screen the item icons take a while to buffer and load and it is an overall unpleasant experience, surprisingly, battles is where the game runs the smoothest for me. I have no idea why this could be, because it is usually the other way around, no? battles run way better than the campaign on very high settings . (note: I even tried very low settings, but that didn't seem to help the fps when moving between screens and the campaign, it just made the game uglier. I have an RTX 2080 super, 32 gb ram, a ryzen 9 3900 12 core processor. I cannot imagine that it is my specs that are the issue. Is this a common problem among people with high end PCs? my NVIDIA drivers are up to date. Submitted April 30, 2021 at 06:04AM by orva12 https://ift.tt/3330fBy

Can't figure out directional combat

I think the combat system in this game is pretty cool but I can't figure it out for the life of me. It feels like all my animations are too slow to respond to attacks or take advantage of blocks, not to mention that I have no control over my attack direction because just looking at my opponent to aim changes its direction. I feel like I'm missing a basic mechanic here because there's no way combat should feel this bad, especially with the reputation I've heard the series has. submitted by /u/Mefilius [link] [comments]

When I talk to enemy lords and get to the part where I pay them to join the kingdom it dosent work. I have 15.8 million gold so thats not the problem. No matter how much I offer the bar that fills up the more you offer is just shy of being full. Just wondering if maybe it's my mods doing this? Keeping my wife in my castle?

Hi there, I just came back to play this game due to some laptop issues and wanted to wait a little longer for more updates so I might be lost with this. How can I keep my wife in my castle? Used to leave her there, even assign her as Governor and then remove the title, but now whenever I leave her at my only castle (Caladog is a shitty King) she stays there for one-two days and then moves to Pen Cannoc which is not mine. She is Idrun, and good fighter but she's carrying my baby and as immersion I wanna keep her safe while I go venturing hoes and taverns into war. Thanks submitted by /u/C0ldTaco [link] [comments]

I have a castle/fiefs.....now what?

So I am playing Vlandians and during war I received a castle and 2 villages that come with it. I am not super high level, I assigned my brother the governor since he had the most perks (It's odd you can't make yourself governor? especially if my steward skill is higher?). Do castles ever get "your" perks? Anyways...im not really sure what I should be doing. I've invested some gold to help build up walls/etc... but not sure what else. Also is it dumb I gave away 2 castles? They were on the edge of a common contested area and it felt like it would be difficult to defend both ? (Right now my party can hold about 115 troops) Thanks! submitted by /u/mercfh85 [link] [comments]

How is Bannerlord now? Stop playing 3 months after release

I haven't played since about 3 months from release. The big thing I know they were working on was the AI snowballing hard by their self, kinda of making it unplayable. I got the itch again to just kill endless people, and was wondering what has been updated/changed/added/subtracted since I stopped playing, or if you could point me in the right direction to look! Thanks! My top 3 future Bannerlord wishlist - What is yours, how would you implement these?

A, Battle map scale should change depending on the troops on the field - (instead of random spawning troops maybe a reserve battle line option) B, A chance to order troops (especially Cavalry) to carry out flanks, without micro managing them, also for Horse Arch to harass the enemy and steadily draw them closer to my main line, also without micro. In general added manuvere options. C, An option to draw up my battle line prior to engagement Overall I love the game but noticed that the fights a bit unrealistic as it becomes chaotic quite fast even shield walls has a tendency to split apart to chase down separate enemies, also AI rarely employs shield walls against me and either charges at me or chills on a high ground. - Both of which easy to defeat, a bit more of creativity by the AI would make most battles a lot more engaging. Bannerlord worth getting ?

Hi all, I currently own Warband on PC but I've barely played it. I know Bannerlord is in early access, thus my question : should I get it ? As in, if I do a direct comparison to Warband, like 1:1, is Bannerlord the same but with more features (even if they are buggy or in progress), or is Warband "more rich" in terms of features as it stands right now ? Thank you for your answers ! Submitted April 29, 2021 at 09:38AM by Hiskus https://ift.tt/3xHMtCv

Lord needs armour

Is there a way to edit a Lord's loadout? either through commands or a mod? I can't find anything on nexus. I am playing the Freelancer mod (which is great btw) but the Lord I am following wasn't fully grown when I started, and for some reason is leading an army in silks, without any weapons besides a dinky sword. Is there a way for me to give them either my own armour, or to just spawn some for them? Edit: I solved the problem by marrying them, but I don't think that will work every time.... Prisoners are not joining my army

So after a year's time of break I came back to see what's new and after 2 hours I noticed not a single prisoner has the prompt to join my army as compared to last year's initial builds - with 70-80 prisoners after every couple of battles at least a few will have the option to be recruited as my soldiers. So what has changes? Am I missing something here..? submitted by /u/gtabro [link] [comments]

After explosive initial territory gain, Khuzaits have slowed down to a grind.

I have basically 2 caravans going, a workhouse (if not two) and I sell everything from prisoners to items. My campaign is harmed by the fact that Monchug (who started the game EXCELLENTLY mind you, and was even at like 56+ relation, now HATES me, for reasons unknown.) I lost 2 of my territories, previously held by northern empire. I just got off a terrible war with the Sturgians which literally just I and a few callins fought. We're beaten and battered all the time. I dont know what I am doing wrong here. I call armies when I can and whenever I get attacked at my lands it seems like I'm the ONLY one trying to hold anyone off. We have 2 wars going at once. The Aserai are kicking our ass in the south, and the remnants of the northern empire is trying to deliberately sabotauge me WHILST conspiracy troops try to provide my enemies with weaponry to surpass us in the field. My 2 villages have just now gotten around to not revolting, a previously owned castle of mine was handed to a

How do i fight as sturgia on foot melee infantry only vs Khuzaits big armies?

Decided again to create a kingdom after few times playing as vassal but i got unlucky and after 5 mins khuzaits declared war on me.. Then they quickly came with 1500 army while i only had 1200 with no archers or cavalry because the troops i have in my party are mostly on foot warriors/axeman etc because i like to play that way. so is there even a chance in fighting? Slowing down renown gain to max relations with towns and villages notables

It seems that quests get harder the more renown you have (or maybe that's time passed or clan tier?), and they are the key to maxing relations with notables. Once my character is developed enough, it gets too time-consuming to finish some of the quests (like "village needs draught animals", 7 cows required vs 40). This also applies to delegating those quests to companions, as the requirements for their skills seems to increase as well. And it feels really important to be able to collect troops (especially nobles) quicker. So, in my next run I'm planning to max those relationships via quests before doing anything that gives me too much renown. So, that means: getting the charm perk that gives extra renown from battles, not quests focus on trading carrying some grain, tools, livestock, horses etc all the time to be able to complete some quests instantly avoiding battles if they aren't part of a quest or if they give more than 0 renown What do you think? Should Sturgians Get a new Racial Trait

Vlandians can upgrade troops quicker, the Khuzaits are faster on horseback and the Empire is better and Constuction and siege constuction. I feel that most all factions has a good trait for there play style all but one....Sturgia has a 20 percent less speed penalty to snow which if you think about it is pretty good for there area. it helps them speed around there very vast expance of the north to get from settlement to settlement. It also helps for when the snow moves south in winter but....thats it 20 percent less speed penalty for snow. Why do I feel that it is not a good trait? well there trait only works for half of the map for maybe 1 and a half months out of the year. Plus the Battanians get a similar one that is insanly better being "Forests give 30% less speed penalty to parties" Why is that so good? Well theres forests Everywhere Even in the Aserais Desert lands theres a forested region Even in the steppes of the Khuzaits theres forest's theres forests everywhere

Could someone summarize the major changes to Bannerlord since launch?

Any advice on how to keep your companions from getting captured?

I love the idea of having my companions form their own parties and going out into the world, but it seems totally useless, and actually it's more of a net negative, because always, ALWAYS, within ten days they are captured by a much weaker force and then I have to go pay money to break them out of prison and they lose all the troops I've given them, which wastes a LOT of soldiers after a while. I end up just making them governors to keep them out of trouble, even if they suck at actually governing. Any advice for how to keep them from getting captured all the time? Do you guys manually control your troops ?

So I started my playthrough by simply hiding my archers behind my infantry's shield wall, and telling my cavalry to charge when enemies lines came into my archer's range. But now that I take part in large battles, I struggle to understand what happens, and to keep track of enemies troops, and it gets even worse when fighting In forest, or even WORSE, villages. So I select everyone, and delegate command. It works, but the AI keep doing mistakes like putting archers in front, etc...I feel like I could win more easily if I could control this myself. How do you guys play ? And if you micro manage your troops at all time, any advice for a noob ? I play Vlandians, so I have crossbows, cavalry and footmens. Whats up with people complaining about bannerlord recently?

It seems like every post on bannerlord on this sub there is a bunch of comments complaining about it saying Warband is better than it in its current state. While I do agree with things like the seige AI that really should have been fixed by now I feel Bannerlord is an improvement over Warband in a lot of ways (System UI, Combat, Ragdolls e.c.t.) as well as the complaint that its taking too long, does anyone remember how long it took for Warband to be fully completed? From first release to the current version it took around 4 years. My point is in this is that I know we all have the nostalgia of the old games but can we at least give the new ones a chance? Hey y'all I know these get posted a lot so I apologize, but I'm at a loss. I've unlocked dll's and as far as I can tell this is the correct load order. The game crashes on startup, have I done something incorrectly? https://preview.redd.it/y9e6nzkyigv61.png?width=2355&format=png&auto=webp&s=58cda3890a138725202fb5d569ed2c2934601426 submitted by /u/Xenturien [link] [comments]

What is the objective of this game?

This isn't usually a question I need to ask about a game, but I'm a little perplexed. I've probably played 10 hours of Bannerlord. The main quest was progressing nicely, but then it jumped from assemble the banner thingy to "unify two-thirds of the Empire". I've got a tidy little force of 40 dudes and I bought a brewery so I'm revenue-positive. I signed a mercenary contract with Empress Rhagaea. But what do I do now? I feel like I'm kind of at loose ends. I can keep winning tournaments and murdering looters, but obviously I'm meant to do something next. Also, what are the victory conditions for this game? I feel like most people who have played it also played the first game, so "how to win" is kind of understood. Or maybe I missed some key bits of the tutorial, but I don't really know what to do next. All advice and tips welcome! Submitted April 26, 2021 at 12:34AM by HothHanSolo https://ift.tt/3njuKfN

Who would like to have a Siege ''load out'' similar to civilan load out ?

I've been switching item for siege recently and realised the tech is here for a dedicated load out. Am I de only one who would like that ? I use a much lighter armor when i'm on the field (I'm a footman and speed is key) and i dont carry as many bolt instead i carry a pole weapon to deal with cav. submitted by /u/yerza777 [link] [comments]

2021 Best Non-Noble Units For Each Role?

I’ve recently arrived back into the game with the release of Bannerlord Online mod. I’m introducing my friends to the game for the first time. I’m looking for an updated list of the best units per role since a lot of the guides and forums seem outdated with where the game is now. Best Heavy Cavalry? Best Archers? Best Crossbows? Best Horse Archers? Best Heavy Infanty? Best Anti-Cavalry Infantry? Best Two-Handed Infantry? submitted by /u/SentientAsshole [link] [comments]

How to recruit a surgeon when there is none left.

Hi folks. I have a question and I would be grateful if you give me some tips. I have recruited two surgeons but both of'em have died. Now there is none left in the encyclopedia. Considering my surgeons were the most key elements in my party I need a new one. Should they start to appear over time or my game is stuck now or anything else. submitted by /u/NeeKaThePussySlayer [link] [comments]

More developed Economy and Building Mods

Hey guys, When the game first came out I was crazy about it. Unfortunately, after few replays game became too monotonous for me and I left it. I remember that during dev blogs and early gameplay footage there were modifiable villages with slots for buildings and specializations making the fief management much more engaging and strategic. Are there any mods at the moment or in development that might bring these features into the game? I would love to start a new game where I could micromanage my Kingdom and make it economical power. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and knowledge. submitted by /u/kuba0707 [link] [comments]

Supply Caravans for Army

Make supply caravans a thing. You should be able to delegate your not-so-warrior companions to a supply caravan that deals in food, goes to the nearest friendly/neutral cities, and brings food to your army. Like I don't want to be walking around in an army of 1,000, which has 0 food. But to make it only fair, you can attack them. Enemy lords can blockade your army while it is sieging. submitted by /u/King_Derthert [link] [comments]

Spearbuff Concept

Spears suck in all mount and blade games, here's what I think would make them good Smaller changes Damage should be increased massively, I'd say roughly by 75% (they do roughly 1/2 of swords in my experience) so they are at least a viable alternative even if not quite as good when the line collapses As dumb as it sounds, spears should not collide with friendlies. Historically spearlines were powerful because you could get both the front line of a formation and some behind them doing damage at the same time. The games arent advanced enough to have the ai fit their spears between eachother so while this may not look great its the only way to make it at least a little viable. It would also make spears the obvious choice for specific scenarios in tight areas like wall battles and gate battles adding more tactical variety Shields are OP against swords in-game and can completely crush a spearline whereas irl the spears just stabbed where the shields weren't. Spears should be

I need help with the main quest!

I recently assembled the banner, and I want to start the non-imperial kingdom quest. However I have built my own kingdom before receiving the quest. So I can't seem to make my clan "Independent" Even though I have my own kingdom, which seems as independent as it can get. What now? submitted by /u/netherwraith [link] [comments]

I hope it doesn't take too long for this game to leave early access

I really want to mod the crap out of it, but with regular updates it's impossible I played the game on launch for a while, and now a year later for awhile and tbh it doesn't even seem like much changed? Mind you I love the game I don't mean to sound whiny, I just expected things to be more balanced after a full year. At least they didn't fix blacksmithing so I can use that to counter the expensive wages that workshops barely even scratch submitted by /u/solcarbine [link] [comments]

I love the multiplayer for this game but BOY do I hate the multiplayer servers for this game.

Does Bannerlord have a cloud save? Just purchased a new computer and was hoping I didn’t have to restart submitted by /u/GridIronThrone440 [link] [comments]

Dev Console

Been playing around with the dev console but havent found a way to increase the xp of my party (companions). Is there a command to do so? Edit: I am a medical student, dont have much time to play and just want to enjoy myself. submitted by /u/DrNiceTry [link] [comments]

Performance has gotten worse over time?

So I just booted up Bannerlord for the first time since November and christ on a bike the game just can not run for 15 minutes without having to take a full minute to load up whatever it thinks it needs at that time. Leaving a village or a town often just freezes the game for a while and the stuttering in the oevrworld is maddening. This is the same on lower graphics setting as well but I swear when I last played it it was on the highest settings and it ran smooth as butter. No mods either. Anyone else getting this, or is this just a me thing? submitted by /u/The-Irish-Blaggard [link] [comments]

What is up with looters?

I just started playing again after a while, and I cannot seem to catch looters. They always run to some crevasse on the map and then we ping pong around forever despite being mere pixels apart from one another. I have actually had my model overlap with theirs and still not attack. My speed, despite being higher than theirs, will also be reduced to match theirs exactly. This has never happened to me before. submitted by /u/biltibilti [link] [comments]

captainmode swarm meta

New sturgia meta is the warrior spam, as long as there’s lots of them and they have shields and move as a team it’s really good. Kinda think this would work with the shitty factions like Battania and Aseria but haven’t tried it yet. And everyone knows how well it works with the Khuzaits Rabble and Vlandian Peasants. Maybe this is just what captain mode is gonna become, 50 50 splits of low tier infantry with shields and big archer units. Edit: works decently well with Battania, but it’s super important that everyone stays together. submitted by /u/Quad_Hop [link] [comments]
