Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. How to recruit a surgeon when there is none left.

Hi folks. I have a question and I would be grateful if you give me some tips. I have recruited two surgeons but both of'em have died. Now there is none left in the encyclopedia. Considering my surgeons were the most key elements in my party I need a new one. Should they start to appear over time or my game is stuck now or anything else.
