Those don't look like "Plains" to me.

So, I end up loading into a fight after reading the Auto Resolve where it says that the battle location takes place in the "Plains" as well as looking visually at where im located on the map with not a single tree in sight around me, and then i get a marsh surrounded by trees. Begs another question, if I would have auto resolved, would it have auto'd on that map I loaded into or would it have auto'd with a Plains modifier to cavalry/horse archer troops? submitted by /u/tjburke93123 [link] [comments]

What am I suppose to do?

I joined the Rhodoks, and at first we were on track to conquering the entire map. But then we took over Tihr, and every single Rhodok lord decided running around the single fief we hold in Nord territory and fighting Nords and Sea Raiders all day (and from what I've seen, losing) was a good idea. Oh, and we're also at war with all, but the desert people. I haven't seen a single Rhodok lord anywhere near our territory in Swadia, the mountains, or the desert. Only near the sea, running around Tihr. So, there is nobody to patrol the rest of our territory, except me. All of our villages are getting raided, with nobody coming to stop them, except me. Our castles are constantly under siege, with nobody there to defend them, except me and the small garrison put to defend it. I was eventually defeated defending against 800 enemies and lost my army and companions, then was chased down by two enemies, and was recaptured and the lost the soliders I had just hired. Solveig is my girl, but I am pursing Ragnhild in order to marry into the family of Ragnar Lodbrok. I'm best bros with her brother, Sigurd and he's all for it. The problem is, she doesn't like me, probably due to my extensive raiding, pillaging, murdering and enslaving. I've tried reciting poetry, but she isn't too interested. Any way to arrange archers on the battlements?

When I assault, the AI archers are all along the battlements pelting us with arrows. However, when I defend, they're all clustered up near the ladder. I tried telling them to hold position, but they act all wonky and still end up trying to be all clustered. In fact, hold position can be worse because of their tendency to form a line facing the center of gravity of the enemy blob, so sometimes that means some of them go into the courtyard or back up against the back wall. I've tried standing ground, hold position, follow me, but just not issuing any commands seems to yield the least crappy results. Half my archers are usually just standing a few feet away from the wall, so they're not shooting. THe other half is clustered with infantry near the breach. Warband 7th faction banner

Was looking through the assets for the game and saw this file labeled kingdom banners: http://ift.tt/2x7fDy3 Was wondering what this faction was as I don't recall seeing it in game. Okay guys so when BL releases in 2,000 years, I'm going to need a Rome MOD with skins. Cool? Cool.

Okay guys, so by my counts 2,000 years from now MB:BL will release, what that means is Rome is 4,500 years old by my calculations that mathematical properties mean you drop them zeros, so we got 45 and 2, this of course means theres a 3 difference between 5 and 2 numbers so you subtract the 3, 45- 3 equals 42. What's 42 well 42 is the answer to life, this confirms that a well done Rome mod with skins is essential to the longevity of the Universe. So, chop chop. Make a Rome mod. Can't find my chamberlain

Hi everyone! Recently started playing M&B: Warband again after I discovered Anno Domini 1257 mod. I am still new to the game (last time I played for some time was With Fire and Sword* few years ago). Here is the deal. I became a vassal, got a fief from my ruler (one village and it's manor). The game didn't ask if I want chamberlain at that point. Only after I have married my wife said "hey, wanna hire some staff?" and I got an option. So I hired chamberlain and now I can't find him. I looked all over my village. Not near the elder, not anywhere else. I looked all over the manor - nope. The manor has NPCs who control my storage, buildings and army raising (+ NPCs of buildings I have built). My wife is residenting in factions capitol (I guess I can't move her into a village - I need a castle). I searched all over that city's castle and streets and didn't found him. So what can I do from here to actually get access to my household's money? A...

AWOIAF 1.3 AI gets stuck in castle siege/defense, any fix?

I've been playing awoiaf 1.3 for quite a bit this week and recently captured Casterly Rock (suck it Tywin). However, whenever I defend it the AI just gets stuck everywhere. There's a small stairway going backwards just after entering the gate, and it seems like a big part of the enemy army is stuck there all the time. In addition to that, on start it spawns a couple of my archers & infantry away from my main army in the hallway, only to get overrun by the attackers. I like the visual design of these castles, but they just don't work with the warband AI. Is there any fix/workaround to get these castles to work somewhat decently? Console player wanting to switch to PC. Have some questions

I originally got warband on xbox but I am looking into getting it on steam now so that I can play the DLC and mods. I am so used to the feel and play of the xbox controller that I'm wondering how the transition is or if I can just use the controller with no loss of features? It would be perfect if I can link my xbox controller to my pc and play using the controller, but I wasn't sure if the steam version would be as compatible with the controller? I also have a Samsung tv with the steam link app on it so I plan on using that to stream it. What we all thought when we saw a group of 10 Nord Deserters at level 4...

"I can take them." Seriously though, I just got Mount and Blade: Warband two days ago, made a new character who started off in Sargoth (had a previous character, but made a new one because I got the basics down) and decided to fight some Nord Deserters when they had half the people I had. Mount and Blade Vanilla question about Rebellion.

Recently heard that if you denounce your oath as a vassal, you lose ALL fiefs which totally sucks. Is the same when you rebel(asking for a fief as Marshall and not receiving it and denouncing from there) because that sounds extremely terrible, unrealistic and a waste of about 95% of my gameplay. What are some finished little-known mods?

I normally don't play mods other than Diplomacy (Native is hard enough for me as it is), but I'm thinking of trying out one of the lesser-known ones (so, not the ones in the sidebar). I've played around with Silverstag once, and I liked it. I prefer mods that are somewhat "finished". They don't have to be still actively developed, but they should at least run with the latest Warband version and not riddled with unplayable bugs. Any of these mods have English troop names? Viking conquest too easy?

I know the difficulty is customizable but does that apply to my soldiers or just my own personal combat? Im pretty strong by now so I wouldn't expect that there's a northman or a man in the isles who could defeat me personally, but i very rarely have casualties in my shield wall, even when the numbers are mostly even. I don't go for fights when im outnumbered by more than 20. I recruit some basic troops but my trading has brought me wealth and I have many svear warriors in my party, and they are usually the weakest infantry that i keep in my traveling party of 81 (as many as I can sail with currently). When I go for my next playthrough, is there any way to increase the difficulty when it comes to the strategy aspect of the game and not just how my PC measures against the rest of the warriors that VC has to offer? Captured 6 castles as Independent, decided to ally with faction temporarily and then left their service. Lost ALL of my castles as a result?!

I'm blown away that this is real. I spent hours in this game sieging castles as an independent before deciding to temporarily ally myself with a faction to help destroy my enemies. I noticed that all of my lands that I SINGLEHANDEDLY CONQUERED now became apart of the faction I allied with. But what I didn't know is that if you leave the service, you lose EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF LAND. Doesn't matter if you singlehandedly conquered it, nope, all of your lands go to that faction. In other words, hours of my life were wasted away only to be given away to a fucking King. I put 300+ troops into those garrisons and now NOTHING. It's all gone, all because I wanted to conspire with another King to wipe out my nemesis faction, which should be a POSSIBILITY IN A POLITICAL FANTASY GAME. Somebody please tell me there's hope to save my castles as independent. I will download mods, I will use cheats, edit the game files, anything to keep those castles I spent hours of strategy be...

I just finished the campaign now, so I wanted to understand this mechanic better before getting to the meat of the game. Some questions: *Are the effects of reputation based on its exact points (my current is 117) or on its "tier" (my current is heroic)? *What are its exact effects? Was the formula ever revealed? *Is it worth it to farm high reputation if I'm playing a trader character? If so, what's the best way? *Is the "reputation with pagans/christians" at all related to this system? If not, how does that work? Should I strive to get high or just not to get too low? Is there a faster way to move troops up and down the party list?

I bet this has been asked before, so I'm sorry if this is annoying. I sort my troops in the party screen like so: Companions "Expendable" Highest level Lowest level When you upgrade a troop that you haven't got yet, they got to the bottom of the list. Under about 10 companions, a few random cannon fodder troops and then every other troop type in the army. The only way I know of to move them into order is to click the "move up"/"move down" buttons near the units name. Is there a hot key or something I'm missing where I can move them around quicker? When they will run out of money and how to play Bannerlord. [Shitpost] [Heavy maths]

A good question, m'lord. Let's go full shittyaskscience on this one. We need to know how much money they made on this baby. So, maths, right... If we can trust Steamdb, Talewords sold roughly 3 millions of Warband copies. Steam price for it is 20$, but let's take 15$ because of the sales. So, 45 000 000 $ was made on Warband alone. It also had 3 DLCs, so let's multiply that by 1.5, because we don't know any numbers on Dlcs. 67 500 000 $. Seems fine. But! We don't know who exactly works at Talewords, so we'll make 2 separate calculations. One for low quality workers, one for high quality. So, a swadian peasant costs 1 money per week. If they have 60 peasants (As /u/Jzargo64 stated), they spend 52x60=ehh, 3120 $ per year. Let's face it, they can't have 67 500 000 $, right? Someone gotta pay for all the electricity, golden limousines, stripclubs... So let's divide it by 2 for the honesty. Uhm, 33 750 000 $. That's 10 812 (10817-5) yea...

A feature I would love to see in Bannerlord

Something that I think Warband missed out on was war cries and the sounds of men in battle. In bannerlord I would love to see men shout the name of their king or faction as they charge towards victory or defeat. I want to hear men cry in pain and shout for their mothers as they die. [PoP 3.8.4] Bandit lair quest question

Is the person who offers this quest always going to be the same lord chosen to offer it at the start of the game? For instance if King Ulric offers it will this quest only ever be offered by King Ulric or will it alternate to other Sarleon lords/areas. I'm asking because in my new run it's being offered by Justus Dux starting out but it's usually offered by Marius Imperator. I've played MnB so much that I can't get myself to play it anymore. But I want to... just can't find a mod that will make me.

Any mods that you guys think would totally bring me back to MnB for one last time? I prefer mods that add new gameplay features and stay within the medieval theme. I don't care as much about the map as I do about having a new way to play on the map. Few quick questions on ACOK (4.1)

Hey everyone, new to the mod. Few questions real quick. 1) Are there any weapons that are overbalanced/underbalanced in the mod? For instance, how useful is horse archery? Is it incredibly powerful like PoP or on the weak side? 2) Anything that I should look out for? 3) Any general advice on starting? I know some mods put a higher emphasis on things like honor. Tips on breaking up 1300 enemy mobs [PoP]

During my conquoring of the Baccus Empire, the Ravenstern slackers have been feeding Wolfbode the Slayer's army. I wandered up there and there is a mob of 1300 misty mountain bandits that's just harvesting that kingdom. I've tried kiting in a 1200 strong jatu army to thin them out, but they just wind up fleeing from each other, despite being pretty even and enemies. Armor question.

Is it like, i'm wearing +50 to chest, i get hit in the chest with a 60 dmg blow, and i get 15 dmg, discounting other effects and skills? Why I feel like a " Early access" version is coming.

This is ment as a discussion since we literally have no information about this at all however, I still feel like some early test version is coming. Here are a few reasons The game still probably has a bit of a way to go before it is completed and after seeing how fans reacted after E3 I think even Taleworlds are getting a bit nervous. Armağan said a early access demo would not be impossible. Now this alone does not really mean anything but in combination with the rest, it just might this time. The type of information they show. For a long while now we have only been shown clips and screenshots of combat. We saw a lot of combat at E3 along with some basic mechanics. Lately I got a game PC and in the beginning nothing went wrong untill a few days ago I would startup the game and I only saw the bink animation with taleworlds in it, then it just dissapeard and nothing happens. A new beginning! (Prophesy of Pendor)

What's up people. I just got back to M&B Warband after two years. What better way to start than sharing my new journey in the newest version of Prophesy of Pendor. In huge sieges (above battle limit) - how game decides which of my defending units will go first ?

I am pretty sure in field battle my troops from top of the list goes first when I am above battle limit. But when I defend castle I get units from bottom of the list (in garrison list) when not all units from top are present at the start. I don't really understand why sieges are different than field battle in this aspect. Obviously I would like my elite units start in full force at the very beginning. But game always decide that it is better to start with more peasants. This is a problem when I defend against more enemies simply because they can slaughter peasants while some of my elite troops are not even on the battlefield. When they do spawn (elite units) enemy is already in castle so the advantage of holding them at ladder is already lost. My questions: When I defend castle is order in which I put units on garrison list (top/bottom) not important at all ? Is it percentage based ? Could the delay be due to how good games like Mordhau and Kingdom Deliverence look and they're trying to get up to par?

Thing is, if you look at the business side of it, 2018's RPG competition it's pretty crazy, and they know that fans of each of these games will try out (or at least look into) all these other games and compare. So maybe because M&B's combat looks like shit, they're worried that after we'll play these other games coming out that have insanely realistic and satisfying looking combat systems, we won't want to go back or won't want to even purchase it in the first place? I hope it's the reason, because I'm actually worried about this. [PoP] When to get Custom Knighthood Order?

So, I'm currently a Vassal of Sarleon, and sooner or later I'm going to get a Castle or City where I can create a Knighthood Order, though from what I understand they'll upgrade from Sarleon Knights. As I plan on going down the Pendor route for my Empire's Culture, am I going to make recruiting for my CKO a pain later on when I make my own kingdom, or is there the ability to change my recruiting noble type? Even so, will this be a non issue somehow? I want to get started early as I've heard they take ages to get good, and so I figured that this way I'll have them at a usable level earlier than normal. [Prophesy of Pendor] How to besiege with other lords as marshall?

The title is pretty self-explanatory... I gathered an army while being marshall, everyone was following me, I besieged a town when every ally was nearby, but when I went to the assault, only my troops were there... How can I "summon" everyone around? Tips for streaming mount and blade on twitch!

I spend the last few nights watching mount and blade streams. Big differences in enjoyment between streams. There seem to be some streamers that are able to pull about 1k viewers. But i didn't like them that much. I like the unknown ones with <20 viewers the most. Thats where you can actually talk to them and be involved in their kingdom. Ok here is what people did wrong about streaming quality: At least 720p. If you cant stream at 720p you could reduce the fps. For the viewers to read all messages in the game we need at least 720p! Sound was ok in most streams. Of course having a professional microphone is better but it's not that much of a factor for me. One feature is actually way more important than you would guess. Seeing the twitch chat in the game stream itself. This way the viewer can see the dealy of the stream and the communication with the streamer is a million times better. Other work around might be to read every message as soon as it pops up. Fun part of...

Day 998. All 6 factions are still as strong as they started.

TLDR - Decided on an unconventional goal this playthrough, fun reignited. Whenever I tried conquering the map, I lose interest once half the map is mine. The early-mid game is where most of the fun for me is. After conquering half the map, battles become predictable and things just fall into place predictably. This time I decided to roleplay as an operative of a foreign power, whose mission is to stoke the flames of civil war chaos in Calradia. Prep the realm for an eventual invasion of said foreign power. To do that, my character has been a mercenary, jumping from faction to faction, making sure no faction becomes too powerful, or too weak. My goal is to ensure that by the end, no fief (including castles) belongs to their original factions. Can you not raid the monasteries and just pay up the sum the jarls want?

I'm playing the campaing in viking conquest and the king of denmark guy wants me to befriend the other jarls, but all they ask me to do is raid fucking monasteries and I don't want to do that, however if I refuse to do it they get -11 relations with me. So can I just "pretend" that I raided it and just give them the money they want?(I have enterprises all over england because I ignored the main quests for quite a while since I wanted to play it safe and can sustain an army 100+ High tier soldiers and still manange to make 1900 peningas of profit) It also seems such a waste to do it because they ask for so little it wouldn't matter a bit if I could just give them the money to them. Combat AI level ground setting?

So I always played in average because by total war experience difficulty only gave bonuses to the AI. The other day I moved to Good on combat AI but since I'm playing a mod (brytenwalda) I'm not sure if is the AI setting or the mod. But battles are much much harder almost to the unrealistic (2 hits and I'm dead even with full armor). So my question is what is the AI setting that level ground for User and AI? Today, I realized my prejudices against the Vaegir were justified

After playing Warband all these years, I could never bring myself to like the Vaegirs. I always thought the idea of slicing through armies with Great Bardiches would make for a fun play through, but every time I'd just end up farming Vaegir armies for money once I outgrew bandits. So today I booted up Floris mod and decided to side with Yaroglek. I racked in some denars, leveled up, got an army and became a merc for the Vaegirs. After an uneventful war with the Nords, we declared against the Khergits. Me and a few other vassals headed down to Ichamur from the mountains in the north to do some scouting before the marshal comes. No big deal, we could handle ourselves against a few Khergs, right? Then out of no where, a fucking steppe bandit hero comes from the east with at least ten other 30-40 man steppe bandit units and flanks us hard. Two of the vassals flee back north, and I'm stuck in a pitched battle with the weakest lord left. We end up in a 70 v 450 fight that decimate...

I just had a peasant woman block three or four of my men's attacks in a row and then I felt bad when a horde of about 20 others ran her down because she didn't have the chance to live up to her full potential. I'm currently a vassal of Robb and he gave me Ten Towers in the Iron Islands early on. My relation with Ten Towers has been slowly decreasing since then and I'm currently at -103... How do I go about improving relations? I don't get any rent money from them. I just got Iron Holt and I don't want the same thing to happen (they're already at -8). Question about the steam version of Phantasy Calradia

Is the steam version censored in any way? the last time I remember playing the mod for any extended amount of time, I remember there being nudity and thinking "it's a shame I'll never be able to stream this game because of twitch's rules about nudity in mods." I recently reinstalled both Warband and mod after not playing either for quite a while, and noticed the nudity is now gone. This leads me to the question, is the steam version "censored" in that way, was the decision made to remove the nudity, or did I have some other mod that was causing it? I would like to start streaming the game at some point using the mod, and don't want to have to worry about whether the nudity will suddenly reappear after an update to the mod if it was some error or something along those lines. Noob here want to ask something on my playthrough

All information have been gathered at a cheated savegame, character cheat and cheat menu included. Ichamur was capital. For reasons. All Calradia Captured, no other kingdom survived. %111 hardness. Info can contain wrong info for normal playthroughs due too cheaty save and semi-randomized nature of the game but I will base my strategies around these. Even lords hate your guts, they will try join your kingdom if there is no other kingdom. Have a friendly married lady in your kingdom that is not your wife to get relationship higher. A few questions about playing as a woman

I have loved the added difficulties that come with playing as a woman, but I have a few issues with marriage. Can you marry a woman as a woman? It does give you the option to ask a Lady if she's looking for a suitor, but none of the 100 Lady's I've asked have said yes. Also, as I am the queen of my own kingdom, how does marrying a lord work? Improving weapon proficiency

Well met butterlords, How do you go about improving weapons proficiency beyond 200? I usually get it up to 160 and it gets stale. Should I invest more in weapon mastery? even if I do it still takes a lot of points for negligible increases in proficiency. Does increasing weapons mastery increase the points I get in battle? Need help finding Sultan Hakim

Okay, so, i've been playing Mount and Blade Warband and i pledged Vasalige to Arwa the Pearled One to help her take back the throne of the Sarranid Sultanate. After many bloody battles i had taken all the fiefs of the Sultanate and had even taken a few castles off the Rhodoks in a scuffel with them. Of course, over time all the Emirs of the Sultanate left to join us or other factions but my quest is still not complete because Sultan Hakim (the leader of the Sultanate) is still out there. The frustrating thing about the Xbox version

I've played hundreds of hours on this game on pc and recently had to buy it for Xbox. I Love it just the same except for one frustrating little thing. When you go to upgrade troops, it takes you back to the top of your list if you are just upgrading a single guy. Like I scroll all the way down to my 2 nord recruits and upgrade one of them to a footman. Then it takes me to the top of my list where I have to scroll all the way down again to get to my 2 swadian recruits to upgrade them to militia. Get super frustrating if you have a large army with a variety of units as it can take several minutes just to upgrade a few troops. Is there any way we can try and fix this taleworlds?? [PoP 3.8.4] Is the prison break for Seven Cross Keep bugged?

Specifically the section where you have to fight your way out while trying to sneak in. Ordinarily you fight 5 guards, only 4 spawn, and I searched up and down the map for the last guy. Help with Perisno.

Which region is the "right one" to begin fighting in this mod? I mean, for example, in Pendor you kinda need to go to Sarleon to fight robbers and bandits. Can't start a character and deal with Ravenstern's mounted barbarians or Fierdsvain's Vanskerry raiders right off the bat. So where do I find the weakest bandits in Perisno? It is my first time with the mod and things aren't going my way on the blue/orange faction lands, whatever they may be called. 25+ vikings parties are tough. I've been dead bored these past few weeks with barely anything to do on M&B besides from Native which gets very toxic. I've been interested in finding an active group for any mod at all, I'm very open minded about what I play and get involved in. (POP) Am I missing Something Here?

Playing POP and trying to get the hang of this mod but I feel like I'm missing something. The archers are so imbalanced and OP that I can hardly participate in my own battles without getting wrecked by even the weakest archer units (I'm level 26). The battles themselves are messy mob brawls with no real strategy or maneuvering. The enemy cav always charges and the archers murder everything. That's every battle. Just started PoP

What the hell is going on? Can someone give me a good general info link or just tell me everything? I really like this mod so far but I'm very confused. What are each of the factions specialties? (Rhodoks=xbows, nords=infantry, etc.) What are noldor troops? I've seen people on here talking about them but I've no clue who they are or where to get them. What are all these orders? I waked into a tavern and one guy hated one order and another guy loved them and when I left the tavern I got jumped by five guys from the order of eventide and they ripped through my army of Empire levy recruits. Best troop combinations to have for a 40-60 party? How many cavalry, infantrymen, and shooters? (Star Wars Conquest)

I'm currently playing the SWC mod and having so much fun being a huge SW nerd. I'm apart of the Hutt Cartel right now and we're in a temporary alliance with the Empire to extinguish the Rebel Alliance. I'm currently holding Han Solo as my prisoner with no possibility of ransom; Leia tried to rescue him but was annihilated. For a while, I kept as many troops as I could possibly hold but I realize now that having a smaller number of troops and training them to high levels is much more efficient. I can often take on parties of 60-70 without losing more than 2 men. However, I want to get more tactical and maximize my troop layout. I'm currently holding 7 Mandalorian Crusaders (Pistols/One-Handed) and 7 Mandalorian Deadeyes (Rifle users). I'm also in the middle of training around 16 Hutt Skiff Guards (Cavalry) as well as 2 Sith Lords and my heroes. How is this layout do you think? Should i be holding more cavalry than infantryman or the other way around? How do y...
